This is my favorite pairing.
You see them arguing, but it's the sort of comfortable, friendly bickering that
comes when you know someone well enough to fight with them. I think Viaresu and Cesia balance each other out quite nicely, though I don't like the girl,
personally (translate: I hate her guts). She's more impulsive and outspoken, and Viaresu tends to think before acting. They would make a cute couple...^^ Also, Cesia seems to bring out a more lighthearted side of
Viaresu; he loosens up around her. And, of course, there's that fact that Viaresu already loves Cesia
deeply enough to die for her. On her part, Cesia feelings for him may not
be romantic (YET), but she does care about him and, after his first
"death", thinks about him from time to time. What she truly
feels is not revealed to us, but I can and will speculate shamelessly. X3

For those of you into yaoi pairings, I don't think there are so far any supporters but this WOULD be cute. Viaresu and Gil are very similiar: enigmatic, quiet,
and fiercely independent. They get along well and there doesn't seem to be any
tension or conflict in their relationship. They even seem to have this silent, nonverbal ESP bond for communication...oO; The downer to this kind of romantic relationship is that neither youkai is very spontaneous, and it would take another outside force to get their relationship off the ground...

Personally, I dislike this pairing though I've seen it used several times. I really don't see what kind of attraction there could possibly be between them. I could imagine the two reaching some sort of grudging respect for one another
in working to protect Cesia, but you just don't fall in love with someone trying
to kill you.

This really wouldn't work out in my opinion. Viaresu dislikes Kharl and only agrees to work with him out of pure neccesity, and Kharl only tolerates Viaresu because he is using him as an experiment. ...Not the best of relationships: one is an object, the other an annoyance...
But then again, Kharl is so odd you never know what he might do...odd...experiments...come into mind. :0

seriously, watching them scream and argue and (in Viaresu's case) attempt murder
is all too hilarious. As they struggle to work together, with some

hate...;P On the other hand, seeing how Thats pulls Viaresu out of danger
twice, they could be friends...in that very stressed-out but funny way, kinna
like Rune and Thats.
NOTE: And oh, btw...I'm psychic. In DK 22, Thats comes to the conclusion that Viaresu is just like Rune. xDDD SEE! I AM ALL POWERFUL!
